LeafsOut Micro Mesh Gutter Guard
LeafsOut Micro Mesh Rain Gutter Guard is a stainless steel micro mesh filtration system that keeps leaves, pine needles and other debris from entering into your gutters. It has 30 holes per linear inch (900 holes per square inch). These holes are so small they will keep out nearly all debris including pine needles and even roof grit while allowing rainwater from your roof to flow through. LeafsOut uses V-Bend Technology which allows 100% of the holes in the mesh to channel rainwater into the gutter. There are other micro mesh gutter guards on the market that have supports under the mesh that block up to 80% of the holes and significantly reduce the amount of rainwater that can flow into the gutters.
LeafsOut gutter guards eliminate the need to clean your gutters. You won’t need to replace your gutters to install because the LeafsOut gutter guard system will fit your existing gutters. The gutter guard has three main components which include an aluminum front drip edge, a stainless steel V-Bend filter mesh and a water siphon control strip under the mesh. It can be installed on many different types of gutters such as Ogee, half round, fascia, curved, box as well as many different roof types such as asphalt shingle, flat tile, wood shake, stone coated steel and Spanish tile.
The gutter guard is easy to install. It simply slips under the roof shingles and rests on top of the roof deck or water barrier (roofing paper) to hold the gutter guard in place. The aluminum front fits on the gutter’s front lip and is held in place by 3 self-tapping screws for every 4 foot section. Installing at the same pitch as the roof will result in better performance and allow debris to fall off easier. Once the LeafsOut Micro Mesh is installed it is barely visible from the ground.
LeafsOut gutter guard will not only keep debris from entering your gutters but it will also keep out wasps, mosquitoes, birds, rodents and other pests. It will also improve the quality of the rainwater by filtering everything out so you can collect in a rain barrel to use to water your flowers and garden if you choose to do so.
